Slowing Down

Time seems to be flying by so fast, I do not know what happened to July. I want to enjoy August but it is already the 9th. Between traveling back and forth to Arizona the past few week-ends and working it seems as if there has been time for little else. I'm a person who moves at a snails pace. Decisions are slow to happen for me. Choices take forever. I like to sit and ponder life. This constant movement leaves me dizzy. The next few weeks I plan to slow down, get back to a life that is more my speed. Where things are not blurring past me. Taking time to see colors, smell the scents and feel the sparkles. Enjoy what is left of the summer. I hope you all have a good rest of your work week.

  1. I agree...life speeds quickly by. Today, I posted in a similar vein with a title "Life in the "fast" lane". It seems as though even the simple pleasures of watching some geese and ducks at a pond can be disrupted in a "vote". Sad!

  2. Oh, that is such good advice and so creatively expressed. I really should attach your quote to my fridge as a daily reminder of what is important: "to see the colors, smell the scents and feel the sparkles." What a great post!

  3. "Decisions are slow to happen for me, choices take forever" You just hit the nail on the head for me...I just ended my post with something similar. I too am looking forward to slowing down a bit. Life is too short to not notice the simple things. Good for you!

  6. I love what you said and indeed, we all need to slow down and experience every moment, exercise every sense.

Love the photos. They make you really see.

  7. I always find such calmness in your post that not even the amount of moving that you've done in the past little while can break.
