Sunday

As Christmas fast approaches I find myself thinking of it less and less. This year there is no family involvement and so it is quiet. Work is busy, the days there long and tedious there is no thought for anything but the job. But it is peaceful and I'm tired from days at work, and the cold weather keeps one under wraps. Today I worked on my journal. It was fun. I went to my best friends house (who is taking the FTB class also) we drank coffee, chitchatted and explored our way through the instructions. I finished my first book, and started a second. As I write this post I realize that even if I'm not celebrating Christmas this year with lots of gifts and parties, I am celebrating it with simple times of love. Wishing you all much love.

  1. Your journal looks beautiful! I love the flowers on the front with the velvet tie. I can imagine how your work must be and how stressful it is. Glad you are able to find a little time to enjoy art. No gifts and parties for us this year either. We decided to just concentrate on things about our move and just enjoy the moment and each other. Sending you warm thoughts and love this Christmas my friend.

  2. What a beautiful and 'makes me want to create' series of photos, Lily. Our Christmas this year focuses on love rather than gifts, too. Blessings to you, here in the shortest days. -sus

  4. Yet again I have been away from blog reading and have just read about your mother and all teh difficulties you've had . 75 is not a great age when you are 60 and have best friends who are 72 and 74. Its sad how these numbers catch us up.
I am so grateful for your lovely supporting comments always, and so enjoy the quiet clarity of reading this blog. Yes I am very fortunate to have 'old friends' who send me letters I wrote ages ago. Those college friendships are deep and will go on for as long a we live. (By the way, the Handwritten post was about 18 months ago...I was wrong!)
I hope you enjoy your quiet peaceful Christmas.x
