I've been away for a while, not only from my blog but from home-I've taken a road trip to Bisbee AZ.. It is easily a two day drive, with a stop in Scottsdale to spend the night with my mother. What an adventure. The reason behind the trip was to visit my sister who is living down there. She is in the process of opening a "creative boutique", we went to see her progress and to help if we could. Let me just tell those of you who follow my sisters blog, she is doing well, is very busy and hopes to open the "Bliss-Bee" shop in the next month after that she will be blogging again. It will be a wonderful store, full of goodies, art supplies and of course my sisters creative energy, everyone should plan a trip to Bisbee for a week-end get away and to visit the store. Bisbee is a quaint little mining town built in a steep canyon, it is full of turn of the century cottages, stairways, nooks and crannies. Also in town is the cute little Shady Dell vintage trailer park a cute hotel to stay in. Bisbee is also full of wonderful antique stores with great prices but I never got a chance to go shopping, I was too busy helping my sister! It was a wonderful trip and I look forward to returning soon.

Hi Lorrie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post. I LOVE the picture of the little sheep and horse. What a funny thing to see! I think my parents stopped through there and visited the vintage trailer park. Sounds like so much fun!
Hugs,
Holly
What a fun post! Thanks for sharing this quaint town with us...
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a lovely trip! The photos remind me of Mediterranean towns...
ReplyDeletebeautiful images lorrie- bisbee does look so inviting. i envy your road trip- ireally feel the need to do this- maybe in the summer! It's good to know that julie is doing well- she does seem to be a busy bee... perfect for the little town of bisbee!
ReplyDeletecouldn't help myself :-)
have a beautiful day
Wow! Bisbee...I haven't been there in a few years, in fact the last time and first time I was there, I wasn't "into" photography. I hope I can visit again sometime soon! Your photos are great...sounds like you need to visit again with a little more time for yourself. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, that sounds like an amazing trip!! Bisbee looks like the kind of little town Daniel and I would love. We had Madrid close to us in New Mexico and it had become this funky artist community in the mountains.. Truly wonderful! Bisbee sounds similar... I'm glad you and your sister are doing well!! Love, Silke
ReplyDeleteLorrie love, thanks so much for posting this update. Your photos, as always, are WONDERFUL. I'm so happy all is going well for Julie. I'm definitely going to take a road trip to visit her and Bliss-Bee. xo Lorie
ReplyDeleteGlad you had good trip to Bisbee, Lorrie. Glad also to know Julie is doing well and will open soon. Would love to plan a trip there when you will be there. It would be fun to be with the both of you again.
ReplyDeleteYour sis is so fortunate to have such a loving, generous sister as you. You are always there by her side to help and support her. So glad she is seeing the fulfillment of a dream. If you come through SLO on your travels, please let me know....would love to see you.
