Indecision

"ALL OUR FINAL DECISIONS ARE MADE IN A STATE OF MIND THAT IS NOT GOING TO LAST." marcel proust. I've made a rather major decision about my life. When I first made the decision it felt right and perfect, I was excited and anxious for it to happen. Now that time has gone on and I wait for the event to occur I've had time to think and I've started to "what if" myself. There are no answers to the questions I have about my choice I just have to walk through believing in myself. In reading this quote I realized that life is fluid, it is constantly moving. What may seem totally acceptable one day may not be quite right the next, one just has to keep moving forward and making constant adjustments. I could live in the frozen world of "what ifs", hiding behind every excuse, and problem. Instead I'm going to keep my head in the sun moving forward looking for answers and solutions.

  2. I believe in the unlimited possibilities that the universe has to offer. There is enough for everyone and we don't have to worry about the "what if's" as long as we trust in that.

  4. well, i am a very bad decision maker (especially when it comes to big changes and big decisions.) i don't know what your decision involved, but i hope it leads you into a good place. sometimes we just have to go down the road, following the light that we have at the time...

  5. So true... I'm facing some pretty heavy decisions myself... I just lost my job and have little prospects for a new one and other personal issues that are going to alter my life greatly in the next year or so... I'm sure I'll second guess myself... but I will muddle through and come out the other side a stronger person for it.

  6. Hi Lorrie, when it comes to making an important decision about something, I "what if" this and "what if" that myself to death, until its hard to function. Usually, if I would have just moved forward with whatever it is it would have been a lot easier for me. Easier said than done my friend.
I wish you the best. Peace be with you...

  7. OOh, so now I'm wondering just what your decision was .... Seems to me like you have shown courage to make the decision in the first place so go with your instincts. Easier said than done I know ... I have made a major decision about my future too and I'm wracked with the same sense of 'have I done the right thing'. As Mark Twain said - '20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do by the ones that you did, so sail away from the safe harbour' or something like that!!

  9. Instead of it being a 'What if it doesn't work?' why not make it a 'what if its the best thing I ever did?'
I like your comment on my Greek pictures, but your landscape always looks absolutely stunning too.
