We are home from our week end trip. It was HOT in the desert. So we cut our trip short. At one point on the way home the car thermostat measured 107 degrees! I was hoping to see some flowers in bloom but the desert was way beyond that point. I had to be satisfied with photos of drying plants and seed pods. When we got home our internet service was out so now I am sitting outside of a local cafe trying out the wonders of wireless. It is amazing. So now as I learn one more thing with my computer (how to hook up to wireless) I can go to bed with a sense of accomplishment. Of course it was quite easy to do, but an adventure just the same.

  1. I don't envy you that desert heat!
I will send your little 'sweetie' tomorrow. It should take about a week but allow two..you never know!

  2. I hope you had a nice weekend despite the heat. Why can't Mother Nature spread things around a little more evenly? We're chilly on the East coast!

  3. First I have to tell you I love your trailer! I can't see much but I think I am quite jealous! What a cool way to spend the weekend, well, despite the heat! It looks a bit like you're in Red Rock. It's not is it? I think you're a ways away from there but it is our favorite desert spot to camp in. Oh well, a weekend away is good no matter where you are or what the weather - if nothing else it makes you appreciate home. It changes the perspective a bit!

Thank you for another lovely visit. You are so kind and I appreciate you!

  5. Oh, those photos make me so homesick for the desert! Although the heat sounds a little excessive. We are enjoying temperatures in the 50's today, having our last (and totally unexpected) fire in the fireplace. We know the heat is coming... Glad you are back and hope your internet gets all connected again. I so enjoy checking in with you daily! :) Silke

  6. Really like the desert plants pictured, but then I love to see cacti growing in the wild too. Glad you've been given a clean bill of health. BFN.

I am so proud of myself each time I learn something new on my computer. I taught myself something new this weekend and I was ecstatic because this computer stuff is not so easy for me!

  9. Love those flowers! And I think seed pods are also very interesting, not just flowers.
Hope you rested a bit despite the heat.
