Evening walk

Sunset is my favorite time of day for taking photographs, the light is so magical it shines is a way that makes everything seem special. One evening at an Artful Journey I got to spend an hour with DJ Pettitt walking around the grounds of the Presentation Center. With cameras in hand we were both looking for those perfect shots. It was wonderful to see the world through new eyes and such a wonderful pair of eyes those are. One of the things I learned to see was the world of reflection, something I had been missing before. And oh what a beautiful thing it is, one must be still to see it but once you slow down it opens another whole world.

  1. Your Julie's sister! I adore Julie. We just taught together at Les Sirenes! Thanks so much for dropping by my blog. I'm an ex Northern Cali girl - I see you live in the East Bay. I'm happy to hear you've rescued a Bichon. They are the best dogs and I look forward to adopting another one day. My first dog in 1990 was a girl Bichon. She lived to be almost 16. They are living longer and longer now so I hope you get many more years with your beloved four-legged too.
    Have a great weekend.

i do love also the magical light of dusk, but also the dawn. today i woke up 5 a.m. and there is something so beautiful about the light upon the fields and how the mist is lingering near the trees.
