As part of our week-end trip to LA, we drove home up the coastal highway of 1. It is a narrow two lane highway hugging steep cliffs, with beautiful ocean views. It is a gamble when you travel along the California coast that you will get sunny skies, and this time I lost. It was foggy and cold. Many of the dramatic views were socked in with fog and misty clouds, I was frustrated and hopeful that around every corner the mist would have burned off. Just the same the peaks of views were wonderful and I felt lucky to live in such a beautiful state. We did the 17 mile drive around Pebble Beach (the famous golf club) to look at the lone cypress tree, it has been years since we've done that. It now cost money to take the drive!!! How times do change, it was worth it to see the tree, although I doubt I'll ever see it again. I hope you are all having a good week.
It IS a very dramatic looking place...
