Opening Up

Opening up, the experience of sharing with someone else. Having a problem recognizing it and than working on it can be a long and difficult process. Yesterday stepping through the fear I started working on some problems that are close to my heart. Today I am exhausted from the fear, the tears, sadness, some joy and finally hope. I am amazed at what I learn when I think I know it all, I think I've figured it all out and than there is a new twist. What touches my heart can stop me still. Grief is powerful and all consuming and can break ones heart. But once the heart is broken it can be repaired with more room than ever for more love and tenderness. Grace is with me today allowing me to love with an open heart.

  6. We never can have it all figured out. Hearts do mend - if we let them. And there is always more love. Sending hugs.

  7. Oh, the heart is such an immense thing to understand and behold. It is fragile and strong, simple and complicated, full and sometimes broken, hidden and sometimes closed, open and vulnerable, sometimes wise and sometimes foolish. We could all go on and on with those ideas I imagine and no doubt our hearts have experienced all of those things. The gift of that is that all of those ways of "being" shape the people we are meant to become and isn't it funny that after the body quits growing for the most part, our hearts and souls continue to grow beyond our expectations. I so admire how you share your journey and soul questions with us. You do it in the most lovely way. And know this one final thing, you can't be brave until you do what you're afraid to do. So keep letting your heart grow and don't let fear stop you from being brave. You can't have one without the other.

Thank you, dear friend, for all of your comforting posts over the last couple of months. They have meant so much to me.
