Fredo

Julie Whitmore's post Best Pals really struck a cord. I love dogs. I grew up with two, a collie and a poodle they were best of friends. Unconditional love and trust is always there. Fredo was my first and great love. A little white dog I adopted from the pound. I wasn't sure I was going to take him home until he wrapped his front paws around my arm and would not let go. He captured my heart with that gesture and never let go again. He was there with me me through sad times, happy times, and many changes, he was my constant. No matter what Fredo was there to love me and comfort me. He was my best friend. That is what dogs are all about. I do believe like Julie said something that good cannot die and must be waiting for us else where. I know that Fredo (and Lily) are in heaven waiting, with tails wagging to welcome me home.

  1. That is true, they must be waiting somewhere. Fredo looks such a sweetie! If I look back will I find Lily too? I had one dog when I was young-Tramp-and I loved him so much. Since then I have had cats and I love them too. Animals have a way of getting into your heart. It is just sad that we lose them. One of my cats is called Lily-great name!

  8. What a sweet pooch. I so agree with everything you say here. I can't believe how quickly we have bonded with our new (rehomed) dog, and how much we love her already :-) They sneak into your heart don't they?
