An apology is in order. I got so excited about finishing three pieces of art work, flying home, posting about my activities that I forgot all about showing you the actual completed work. I have shown bits and pieces of it and my sister has shown them on her blog but I totally spaced it off. Any way here are the finished pieces that I completed this past week-end. It seems rather amazing when I look at them that I got so much done. But it just seemed to sort of flow out of me and did not really feel like work at all. Click on the images for a closer view.
There they are! And, they are GORGEOUS! I've been waiting for them to show up so I could tell you . . . BRAVO, MY DEAR! (with a standing ovation, of course, and a few whistles too) I sneaked a peek at your sister's blog because I just couldn't wait to see them. I am so excited for you - you hit the sweet spot, that spot athletes find when they golf or knock a baseball out of the park. When it all flows and seems to just fall out of you like it was there all along just waiting for you to let it go - that's the sweet spot and it always, always means you nailed it! And you did!
Oh my gosh they are so fabulous! Your creative spirit is really speaking. I love them all but am especially drawn to the first one (the soul lives....). Amazing!
They are soooo sooo beautiful!! Have I said that before?!!! Lorrie, just incredible!! I thought I liked the last one when I saw it, but the middle one is to die for!!! So much to look at....so much detail......so much you!! I know someone will publish them. All the best to you! Hugs, Sharon
Thank you for all the wonderful commets re: my work. It is so nice to get such positive feedback about it. It just makes me want to keep creating and creating.
I sure hope you do keep creating! Go Lorrie! This work is really good and I believe you will be published! These pieces are poetry, not just including your poetry!
Lorrie, these are just WONDERFUL! It seems that everything is coming together in these pieces - there's such poetry and harmony about them. They are expressing your spirit and that speaks to everyone out there! Keep going!!! Hugs, Silke
