Sundays are the farmers market in downtown Martinez. It is a small little market but has the requisite flower stand, vegetable stall and kettle corn dealer. I've been going down to this little market for the past several years and this year have noticed that it is busier and maybe a little bigger then usual. I wonder if this has to do with the economy and people deciding to stay closer to home and help support each other. I hope so because I like to see our market thrive and survive. Speaking of supporting the market I really didn't buy anything today except for some golden beets. I wanted some flowers but had spent all my money yesterday at the antique stores so I'll have to wait until next week.
I came here by way of TumbleFish Studio and am so glad I did; I'll be dropping in repeatedly now :-) Thanks for sharing such wonderful images; makes me want to head for a Farmer's Market. I don't think I'll ever look at one the same way again. Enjoy your piece from Tumble Fish; it's great!
Lorrie, you take the most beautiful photos! Makes me want to visit the little farmer's market in your town. I think it's wonderful you've been going there for so many years! And your piece from TumbleFish is so pretty! :) Silke
