We arrived safely home this afternoon after a 4 day 300+ mile trek to move "Bambi" to her summer playgrounds. It was an uneventful weekend infact very pleasant considering I spent many hours every day staring in the rearview windows at silver and glass. Yes items are closer then they appear and that makes me REALLY nervous. We spent one beautiful evening in the Alabama Hills the portal to Mt. Whitney. It was gorgeous and you could see why they have filmed so many movies there. By the time we got to Mono Lake it was raining,I spent most of that day inside creating in my journal. We are getting more comfortable towing our trailer so the trip was less exhausting then some have been. But it is still good to be home, nothing beats your own shower and bed!
How many times in are life have things been closer than they appear. Probably everyday. I wished I was going to but there will be more and you and julie are going to have the best time. hugs
I'm so glad you are back - I've missed your postings!! :) Oh, Mono Lake - we used to spend time there when we lived in the Bay Area. So very beautiful. You are a lucky woman!! Hugs, Silke
I live in the Calif. east bay area with my 2 dogs Lily and Penny and and My husband Bruce. When "playing" I journal, do mixed media art and spend weekends on our Airstream "Bambi .
Your journal looks beautiful. What I have found in life is most things "are closer than they appear" Glad your trip was uneventful. Barb
